Senior Director of Human Resources

Senior Director of Human Resources Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the Human Resources Department, including all staffing, benefits, labor and union relations, recruitment, and staff development. Direct and oversee other day-to-day operational HR functions including compliance and human resource administration. Work closely with the leadership team to support employee strategies and initiatives to drive organizational improvement.

Senior Director of Human Resources Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent degree; M.A. degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 7-10 years of progressively increasing HR experience, preferably in a non-profit and/or in a unionized environment.
• Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or PHR certification preferred.
• Demonstrable experience and HR technical expertise in all functional HR disciplines, including employment laws & regulations, HR Best Practices and procedures, employee benefits, union/labor relations, employee discipline, learning & development, talent acquisition, employment and onboarding, performance management, and employee discipline.
