- Understand what you can outsource, what you can’t, and the grey areas in between.
- De-mystify financial reports, and discuss which key reports to look at, how to read them, and the story they tell about your business.
- Gain confidence in your ability to understand your business’s financial reports.
You are running a small business and great at what you do. You don’t want to be bogged down in accounting, but you need to know some basic financial information to make sure your business is on track to reach the goals you have set out to achieve. This webinar is intended to teach non-accountants how to understand key financial reports – what to look for, what they mean, and how to interpret the story that they tell about where your business is today and where it’s headed.

Shawna Brauer is a CPA and former CFO with over 30 years of experience working both in the banking and businesses. She has gained a keen understanding of financial reports and an appreciation for the stories that they tell. Over time, she has learned how to communicate these financials (and stories!) to those who are not as comfortable with the behind the scenes accounting, leading to more conscious and profitable business decisions.
As a SCORE mentor, Shawna is passionate about helping others learn to grow their businesses to achieve the goals they have in mind, and she firmly believes that understanding the underlying financials are a key tool in making that happen.
