Description
Ascension Lutheran Church will hold an Oktoberfest a fundraiser taking place on October 12th. Oktoberfest tickets include a German meal and cost $40 each. All proceeds will go toward paying a young girl's outstanding medical bills.
At the age of only two years old, young Alexa has faced life-altering surgeries and treatments that most of us could only imagine as adults. She was born with a rare leg deformity called Tibial Hemimelia. While it is rare to find this condition in even one leg, Alexa was born with Tibial Hemimelia in both her legs.
Alexa and her family were dealing with the reality that most doctors recommended bilateral amputation of Alexa?s legs, when a doctor in South Florida came as an answer to their prayers. He agreed to perform a series of reconstructive surgeries. Alexa could keep her legs.
These surgeries have blessed Alexa?s life. But they, along with travel to Florida and treatments for her existing heart and kidney ailments, have caused her medical bills to become quite staggering.
The Oktoberfest fundraiser for Alexa will take place at Ascension Lutheran Church Saturday, October 12th from 5:00 to 8:30 PM. Ascension is located at 7429 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Niles. The evening will feature raffles, music, and community.
If you would like help Alexa, corporate sponsorships are also available in the form of three different tiers:
Platinum sponsorship for $400 (which includes a prominent, one page ad in our event booklet, a brief letter from a company representative on topics like charity, community, etc., and 2 complimentary tickets to the Oktoberfest), $250 is a Gold sponsorship (which includes a half-page ad); $100 Silver sponsorship (which includes a quarter-page ad), and a $50 Appreciate Sponsor (which includes being listed in the event booklet). All donations are tax-deductible.
